About the Workshops

THE PURPOSE OF THE WORKSHOPS to provide a space for practicing on practical skills that are necessary to manage anxiety, depression and attention issues.

THE STEP BY STEP APPROACH will help you understand the relationship between your thoughts and emotions, triggers, boundaries, motivation, and other psychological concepts that affect your behavior. You will get insight into what you need to do to regulate overwhelming levels of emotions and refresh your behavior.

THE WORKSHOP FORMAT IS DIFFERENT THAN INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING: It will offer the opportunity to both learn and  practice. You will also feel a sense of support and comradely working with others. During class, you will be invited to share experiences with other class members, help each other, collaborate during exercises, and practice your communication skills.

THE WORKSHOP CONTENT is based on CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy). Both therapies have been extensively researched and proven effective in regulating emotions.

AT THE END of the 4 classes you should expect to have gained insight into what was causing your anxiety, depression, and attention deficit and you will be better equipped in how to manage your emotions and behavior will help you enjoy an increased sense of self-control and confidence.

Stress management
workshop  outcomes

The Stress Management Workshop is a small group class for 6 participants.

It is designed to teach how to use important emotional regulation skills that are necessary on a daily basis. Examples of skills include assertive communication, healthy boundaries, recognizing your triggers, and more.

Having a small number of participants will ensure that everyone's needs will be addressed and there will be time for everyone to participate.

This workshop is more than just a class—it's a big step toward a happier, stronger, calmer you.

We will not only get to practice skills that reduce stress and anxiety but also use the opportunity to do that together!

  1. Become happier by paying attention to yourself: Understand what makes you stressed, learn how to validate your feelings, and explore better ways to act that make you feel better about yourself.

  2. Building Confidence by Gathering Personal Tools: Just like acquiring tools for a toolkit, learning about boundaries, assertiveness, cognitive distortions, triggers, and more, will give you a sense of how to better handle stressful situations.

  3. Attending to Your Thoughts about the Future: You'll be encouraged to shift away from past negative thoughts and practice looking for solutions toward a positive future.

  4. Opening Up Conversations: If you are a people pleaser and avoid speaking up out of fear of upsetting others you know that stuffing your feelings is only creating a bottleneck making you suffer. Learn ways to share your feelings with those around you and nurture understanding.

  5. Being more aware of yourself by learning about emotions: By learning about connections between thoughts, emotions, and behavior participants will cultivate a better understanding of their motivations.

  6. Cultivate calm by learning skills like Cognitive Reframing: It will help you perceive and respond to emotional challenges in a more balanced and constructive manner.

  7. Building Effective Coping Strategies with Mindfulness Practices: The workshop will equip participants with mindfulness practices to help them find safe emotional space during stressful situations.

  8. Strengthening Interpersonal Relationships with Active Listening: As participants hone the skill of active listening, they can foster improved communication and deeper connections in their personal and professional relationships.

  9. Building Resilience through Gratitude Journaling: Regular gratitude journaling can help shift focus from life's challenges to its blessings, fostering resilience over time.

  10. Boosting Productivity: Improving stress management skills can help, individuals be better with time management.

Limitations: This class is limited in time a scope. In a few hours, we will cover major skills that will serve as building blocks for any type of emotion regulation. Although we will try to cover a lot of ground with each class we will also have to keep a narrow focus on learning and practicing.
